I might have to resort to buying one, how much do they go for? I'm not big on minipets - I refuse to pay any more than 8k for one...

I seen them go for around 30k. The sad part is that the amount of tokens you'd need to get 400 fortunes would've sold for more than the rat itself.

The fact ANet nerfed Lucky Hochei (in 2007 you'd still get a Lunar Fortune if you tied with him) and the quests (requires to be level 5) just makes it worse.

And you're right, Sith. You can probably make more off the tokens themselves. I see people selling em for 100g each. That's craziness IMO! You can make 12.5k just by doing all the quests. -_-

decided to test the theory of the red here
dyed my monk all red and boom got a rat in the 10s open

b4 hand i had opened over 500 tokens so maybe the red works :shrug:

Eldin after about 500 fortunes and 0 rats I was about to give up. I had 2 more characters to do the quests on [I have 13 PVE chars]. Being otherwise bored I did the quests on the last 2 chars and got a mini rat from the first fortune opened by each. The random generator works in mysterious ways.

I'm thinking it's more profitable to sell the tokens to others, I got 75 I'm going to sell for perhaps 100g each, that'll be a fair sum.
